A favourite - there are people who will try and tell you that good plants should flower over a reasonable period and have a long season of interest; well, good luck to them but they're gonna miss out on a hell of a lot of beatiful things following that line of thinkng....and this is one of them. Its not a difficult plant to grow, very slowly forming a small clump of three- or four-inch upright, narrow leaves and then the flowers - varying blooms of lilac-purple, white, blue, yellow and /or a hint of red. Each flower lasts at most two days - I wouldn't be without it.
